Once again, we had a wonderful group of campers and awesome teen buddies and leaders.  There were some new teens and leaders this year and we hope they all plan to return next year!  It is always a thrill to see the change in the campers as the weekend goes on.  They come in not knowing what to expect, sometimes not wanting to even BE there!  After bonding with the other campers and their teen buddy and leaders during the craft on Friday night, things began to become less scary for them.

We did a couple of new things this year and by the review of the surveys, it sounded like people enjoyed the changes. As usual, the water slide was the favorite activity and for many, our campfires were very popular- from the s'mores to the rain stick.

On Sunday, we wrapped things up with the usual signing of camp t-...

We are pleased to announce that Children's Bereavement Network now has an office!  It has taken many years of hard work to arrive at the point financially that we felt we could "step out in faith" that we can take on the responsibility of having a place to call "our own".

It all started back in February when Treasurer, Lynne Totten of Gaylord started earnestly looking for a space to not only give us an office, but a storage room to put all of our camp supplies that we have been storing in the homes of Board Members for many years!  Of course, we also knew that we would need furniture, filing cabinets, shelving units for the storage area and we had to also find a way to cover the cost of that also.

The Children's Bereavement Network (CBN) is a non-profit organization that sponsors Camp Live, Laugh, Love for children grieving the death of a significant loved one in their life. This camp is FREE! Because of donations from caring people in our communities, there is no cost to you or your child. A caring group of trained professionals and volunteers have come together to help children realize that "IN LIFE THERE IS HOPE". View our brochure.

Our goal is to provide a safe environment in which children can explore and express their grief. Grieving is unique for each child and they grieve differently at each stage of development. Children's Bereavement Network works with children ages 8 - 13. At this age children are struggling with their own self-concept. The death of a...

My children had a wonderful time at this camp.  They share memories often of the experiences they had.  The opportunity of this camp came at the perfect time.  I know the boys will always remember the great time they had, I am very grateful.

I highly recommend this opportunity to any family that has suffered a loss.  The children find friends and come in contact with an excellent staff.  The staff is very prepared and organized.  I was secure the boys would be taken great care of, and I wasn't disappointed.

Thank you.
